WHO DO WE HELP?

VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai believes every young person is a taonga. We help tamariki and rangatahi live with the aroha, safety, and respect they deserve. We support young people aged 0-25 in care (formally or informally) or with care experience, ensuring their voices are heard, their needs are met, and their rights are upheld.

WHAT SERVICES DO WE OFFER?

Here’s a quick list of some of the things VOYCE does:

  • Tūhono (connection events) to help care-experienced young people meet others who are also in care, so they know they are not alone.
  • Kaiwhakamana (advocate) one-on-one support.
  • Assistance with Family Group Conferencing (FGCs).
  • Attending meetings with young people if they ask for support.
  • Empowering and supporting young people in care to have their voices heard.
  • Supporting young people in residences and group homes.
